The January recruitment period proves to be a time of feverish rumour and potential big-money transfers. Several prominent stars find themselves linked with transfers away from their present clubs. Here is a look at a selection of the major names that could be on the move this month.

A. Semenyo

Despite Ghana's failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, which has kept the player available, reports suggest an important move is close. This Bournemouth attacker has a contract with a £65 million release clause active for a two-week period at the start of the month. Latest reports point to the Premier League champions have emerged as his services. Former suitors such as Tottenham and Chelsea reportedly have turned their attention to alternative targets, leaving clubs such as Manchester United or Liverpool to make a last-minute bid.

Marc Guéhi
