Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
